OUR MISSION

OUR MISSION

Justice Hotel will be at 6018North for the Chicago Architecture Biennial from September 19, 2019 to January 5, 2020. Justice Hotel at 6018North is a communal hotel where guests are invited to “check in” to justice.

Developed with Amanda Williams and ALAANA concierge-curators, the 5-room hotel’s programming includes conversational dinners, performances, and healing services. Employing a co-op model of ownership, we are experimenting with living and working together in ways that benefit all. Your experience will shape our future hotel development on Chicago’s South Side. Help create justice, one room at a time.

Dinner

Dinner

During your stay you will have opportunities to participate in Conversational dinners in which topics relating to justice will be discussed in depth. Each dinner will invite the guest to voice their thoughts and experiences over a shared meal, provoking conversation and continuing an open dialogue on justice.

MOVIE NIGHT

MOVIE NIGHT

Throughout the running of Justice Hotel we will have movie nights in which films will be screened for the guests to enjoy. Each film will incite conversation surrounding topics relating to justice. After the screening we will hold an open discussion in which questions can be asked and answered relating to the film or ideas conjured from the film.

CAFE FOR ALL

Here, we open a cafe to the neighborhood with a donation based sliding scale method. We hope to find a system that works for our community through which everyone can have access to delicious and healthy food, hang out and working space despite their financial conditions.
